Vice Versa Privacy Policy

Vice Versa (hereinafter "VV", "we" or "us") has established this Vice Versa Privacy Policy (hereinafter "Policy") that describes the handling of your information by Vice Versa when you use the Vice Versa Service.

If you are less than the age of majority where you live, you must have a legal representative such as a parent or guardian accept this Policy on your behalf.​

When required for the operation of the Vice Versa Service, such as when we receive an inquiry from you, we may also ask you for your name, email address, street address, or phone number.

 

1.2 Information We Collect When You Use the Vice Versa Service

1.2.1 Information about Your Device and Connection Environment

Vice Versa may collect information specific to your device and across your different devices, such as the product model, serial number, operating system, internet service provider, IP address, and device settings.

Vice Versa may use your information for the following purposes during the period of the existence of such purposes. Unless otherwise permitted by law, Vice Versa will obtain your consent in advance before using your information for any purpose not related to those described in this Policy.

Vice Versa may use your information for Vice Versa and third parties in the IT industry and the marketing industry to improve our services and products (including improvements to the Vice Versa Service), and to develop and provide new services and products.

Vice Versa may use your information to provide you information about services and products of Vice Versa and third-party companies. To the greatest extent permitted by law, this may include introductions of features specific to you, customized content recommendations and offers, and advertisements and promotions suited to your needs (including through a web page or email). If you do not want your information to be used in this matter you may unsubscribe in the promotion email.

 

2.3 Inquiry Handling

Vice Versa may use your information to resolve any problems that may occur in your use of Vice Versa Service when you report or inquire about those problems. Vice Versa may use your email address and other contact information you provide to respond to inquiries and to inform you of changes to our agreements, changes or improvements to the Vice Versa Service.

2.4 Creation and Provision of De-Identified Data

Vice Versa may provide your information to its third-party partners to improve the usability of our products and services and third-party products and services and as a reference for developing new products and services. In this case, the information will be provided in a de-identified format and we will prohibit any activities that would re-identify you as an individual from this information.

2.5 Creation and Provision of Statistics Information

Vice Versa may use your information for statistical purposes in an anonymized format in which you cannot be identified as an individual. Vice Versa or the third parties appointed by Vice Versa may use this information to improve our services, operations, and marketing activities, to improve the usability of our products and services as well as third-party products and services, and as a reference for developing new products and services.

3. Information Control

3.1 Disclosure and Revision of Your Information

In some cases you may be able to revise or delete the information you have provided to Vice Versa, or exercise control over certain uses of that information. You may request details about revisions, additions, and deletions of the information you provided and the information Vice Versa gathered about you through the Vice Versa Service by submitting a request to the Vice Versa contact points as described in Article 6 of this Policy for inquiries. However, we may decide not to disclose certain details about your information to you if any of the following situations apply. We will immediately inform you if we decide not to disclose some or all of your information.

• If disclosing such information could result in a violation of the rights of you or a third party, such as physical harm or financial malfeasance.

• If disclosing such information could cause a considerable impact on the reasonable conduct of Vice Versa's business.

• If disclosing such information would violate other laws.

 

3.2 Disabling Cookies

Through your browser settings, you may be able to disable cookies or have a warning be displayed when cookies are sent. If you disable cookies, you may become unable to use some or all of the Vice Versa Service features.

 

3.3 Disabling Analysis Tools

Vice Versa may use third-party analysis tools that use cookies or identifiers for mobile devices (including similar technologies) when obtaining information from you according to this Policy. For this purpose, Vice Versa may provide your information in an anonymous format to the provider of the third-party analysis tools. This information is handled according to agreements such as the privacy policy of the provider of the third-party analysis tools. Except in the case of the existence of any technical or fundamental difficulty, you can opt out of providing your information to the provider of these analysis tools via the method offered by Vice Versa or the provider of the third-party analysis tools (including the following method).

Information obtained through such third party analysis tools may be used for the following or related purposes: 
- Improvement of Vice Versa’s services;
- Investigation of the number of users and/or the traffic(s) of Vice Versa’s services;
- Reference for the development of new products or services;
- Distribution of advertisements based on browsing history of websites.

 

4. Information Protection

Vice Versa uses reasonable measures, and has established reasonable safeguards, to help protect your information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.

5. Retention and Transfer of Your Information

​

Your information will be transferred, retained and processed not only in Hong Kong but in several countries of the world including the countries where our sub-contractors, our affiliated companies and the third party to whom we provide your information based on your consent are located, according to this Policy and to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use as set forth in Article 2. Your information may be subject to the data protection rules other than where you live, depending on where your data has been transferred to.

7. Changes to This Policy

Vice Versa may change this Policy at any time. After changes are made, Vice Versa will post the newest version of this Policy on the Vice Versa official website, and, so far as the changes are necessary or helpful to enhance the Vice Versa Service or to adapt it to reflect changes in technical or legal requirements, send you a notification by pop-up box message. The changes to this Policy shall be effective as of the time of such posting. If you object to such changes, you may terminate Vice Versa User Agreement in accordance with the Main Rule Article 3.1 of Vice Versa User Agreement. Please review the latest version of this Policy whenever you use the Vice Versa Service.
